Stu Evans Runs 209 In Testing
The car was a handful right from the start. The
torque of the Jon Kaase power bent the wheelie bars on
the launch and with the nose 3 foot in the air Chris
"Never say die" Holbrook pulled another gear to calm
the car down. The car veered to the right as Chris
gathered up the gears and corrected the car as only
Chris can. That boy can drive.
So the initial pass at 209 mph was a scary one but it
was an impressive performance and usable baseline
data. An immediate switch to A-B-A test mode
unfortunately wasn't fast enough as rain washed out
the remainder of the session before we could get
another pass on this new design.
Initially what we are seeing is good. The fuel curve
seems to be excellent and the launch capability is
there. We hope to get some more passes on the design
before putting it out on the market. There are a few
changes I would like to try as I believe there is
still some half track power left in it. All we need
now is a new set of wheelie bars, a dry track and that
210 plus mph record could be in the books for
Pro-Systems and Stu Evans. We're crossing our
fingers.
Thanks for stopping in.
