The 2006 Hot Rod pump gas drags bring out the most competitive spirits from all walks of drag racing.  You see everything from turbos to superchargers to naturally aspirated and nitrous injected vehicles.
All of them trying to travel the quarter mile with their idea of what it takes to go fast on PUMP GAS.

Eddie "Elvis" Miller who owns and operates The Engine Works out of Port St. Lucie, FL contacted us last fall to build him a carburetor for his program.  Eddie (who looks a lot like Elvis...or is he Elvis?) claimed he had a great idea or two and was going to go race with those guys.  Good luck.
 

Well as it turns out he didn't need it, as this guy has a natural knack for wringing out horsepower. 

With a barely tested car and a 537 c.i. power plant Eddies Duster was the fastest car at the Hot Rod pump gas drags in 2006.  Traveling well into the 8 second zone!  How does this guy do it?  It must be the sideburns.  Check him out at www.TheEngineWorks.com
