AUGUST 2003 - SHOWCASE

When Dodge jumped into NHRA Pro-Stock they knew it was going to be tough.  NHRA Pro-Stock is every bit as tough as Formula One.  Dodge has some mighty talented people in their Aero and Design Engineering staff, but all is for naught if you don't have a marketable/talented driver or a great crew chief to tune the car. Enter Larry Morgan and Bob Glidden.  Who'd a thunk it.   These two have teamed up to score a final round berth for Dodge at the recent Carquest Auto Parts NHRA Nationals.  Larry has been doing some R and D and evaluation for us.  He's incredible to work with, a real nice guy, absolutely the same guy you see on television.  Larry is one seriously devoted racer too.  If you call his shop anytime he's there and even when he's not, you can hear the dyno pumping in the background.  "More power Morgan" is what we ought to call him.  He's always looking for more power and as we know, finding, is the tough part.  Well you found enough last week, congratulations guys and stay at it.

Larry's car was dissected for weeks until they found the problem (it's always the simple things). Now its flying.
