AUGUST 2006 - SHOWCASE

 Vinnie Porcelli - South Lyon, MI

Bracket racing is a big deal nationwide.  It's tough and the drivers/tuners are very talented. 

Take Vinnie Porcelli for instance.  He debuted his Ford Falcon with a new combination this year.  Right out of the box he won the first event entered at Lapeer Dragway in the "box" class. 

The next weekend he showed up at US-131 dragway and won that event in "no box".  Vinnie said the car was going to run dead on the dial in all 7 rounds of competition. 

"The car ran an 8.924 and 8.928 in time trials, so I dialed an 8.93 and left it there all day. I cut some good lights and tapped the brakes to tighten it up a couple times to grab the win." 

That's 2 for 2 for Vinnie!

The 444 c.i. Pro Systems Dominator equipped Ford Falcon runs consistent 8.90's, so its cool and fast.

Good job Vinnie.
