Test Teams. Test Teams Everywhere!
This week we'll stop in and see what our Nitrous test teams are up to. Hang out and take a look.
It was a pretty busy week around the shop,
I just got back from New York tuning at the IHRA Empire Nationals and
instead of some usual updates on this or that, I thought
a few photos would explain things better. These
are some of our test guys, working hard to develop
better designs for all of you.
Ed Steffey's beautiful 57 Chevy driven by
Pat Moore with
Buck racing power was my main point of attention at
the IHRA event. He was testing some new Split dominators
based on the HP main body. They worked quite
well, never hurt an engine part all weekend. The design
pulled great vacuum and looked very good. Qualifying
number 2.
Tim Mcamis was also testing for us, with a
new car he built
for William Rojas with Buck racing power. The car
is here for one race only and after the
event is scheduled to
be crated up and shipped to Puerto Rico. The
Mcamis driven Rojas car had yet another design of split
Dominator, this one also based on the HP series. Tim
was very pleased with the drivability and vacuum levels
and it is a complete departure from standard concepts
in carburetion. It also performed admirably. It
was the first race with the new car with only a light
tune-up it Qualified number 5. Check out the photo
of this car, equipped with fully functioning
headlamp, side marker and tail lamps it is truly a Mcamis
work of art...that guy is good.
Tommy Gray and '"The Undertaker"
is working hard on his program and will be debuting the new Holley split and
CNCed Dominators. We changed them over to our Nitrous
program (Our booster, fuel curve, atomization program),
but the CNC workmanship from Holley is excellent.
Ross Stomp was looking good at
last weeks NSCA race. We
had been working on a particular bore of carburetor for
awhile and although it offered some advantages that
design was opted for another at the last minute and
the car responded quite well (sometimes its better to
be lucky than good). Go get 'em Ross!
Mike Testani is our Superstreet Outlaw
test guy...man. He is one hard working man. He has been helping us design
a new venturi program. He is currently the fastest
Nitrous car in S/S outlaw..as hard as he works...he
oughta be. I get tired watching these guys. That's
it on what we're up to in the
Nitrous development
field.
Thanks for the e's and glad you stopped
in.
